According to http://www.jojobacompany.com jojoba is not an oil because it does not contain triglycerides. Jojoba plants are woody perennial bushes native to Arizona, Mexico, and California. Jojoba is actually a liquid wax ester similar to human sebum, because of this it loosens and dissolves hardened sebum that could obstruct the follicle's ability to function properly if left unattended. Great for dry scalp issues such as dandruff, hair loss, and great for all hair types!! I personally use jojoba for my skin and if I have a conditioner that doesn't have enough slip!!! It could be used as a hot oil treatment, cuticle oil, shaving prep, aftershave, massage oil, carrier oil, etc.
